London UK 1970.

Andy Staines had long hair a beard and was a very happy hippie. He had a voice like honey and a beautiful smile.

I met Andy at Loughton College in Essex UK. The same college that Mark Knopfler taught at before turning pro in ‎Dire Straits. I just loved the music Andy played and after I showed him some of my songs we became good friends.

Andy and I wrote and recorded these songs with just two acoustic guitars and an old Philips reel to reel tape recorder to capture the moment. We did a lot of live concerts. If you were at University in London during the early 1970’s chances are you may have seen Andy and I play.

These songs even though they are not professionally recorded are too precious not to share with my friends and fans around the world.

All songs were recorded at home as part of the rehearsals for Andy and Martin's concerts, they were to give throughout the early 1970's. They were never intended for professional release however, its the only recording that exists of this amazing songwriting duo that lasted just a few short years. -
